The power of unconditional love is life-transforming! The following video illustrates such a love:
The unconditional love of a dog is a beautiful thing. In a similar way, it is a picture of the unconditional love our faithful God has for us. It is a life-transforming love that touches every part of who we are. It is a love that takes us as we are, accepts us regardless of what we bring to the table. Loved, rescued, delivered – that is what we are. Our world needs more of this love.
God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)
This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. (1 John 4:10)
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:35-39)
Friend, God loves you completely, unconditionally. He sees the real you — all your cracks and flaws — the parts you keep hidden or try to forget about. He knows your past stumbles and present struggles and here is the thing: He loves you anyway. He embraces you with a passion so deep and so real that you melt in His presence. Nothing can separate you from His love. Nothing! He doesn’t leave you alone in your brokenness. Through God’s love in Jesus, our Savior, you have been delivered to a new life. A life defined by the forgiveness and grace of a Savior’s love as demonstrated on the brutality of a cross. Yes, the power of unconditional love is life-transforming.
I hope you know that love, a love that goes to eternity itself!
Loved, rescued, delivered!
