I hope and pray you had a blessed Easter!
For the Christian, Easter was never meant to be a mere holiday we celebrate a particular day of the year but a daily reality we embrace and live to our core. We are an Easter people, my friend, grounded upon the fact that Christ is risen from the dead. The following video is a thought-provoking reminder of the foundation to our faith and what the Easter season we are in means to us some 2,000 years later. Yes, the video is about eleven minutes long, but it is so worth the viewing! It is a powerful reminder of our ever-present invitation into the Lord’s presence where He shares His heart with us through a painful cross and empty tomb. This is our reality and our mission all wrapped as one.
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (Ephesians 6:12-17)
Our entire existence finds its hope in a person, who lived, who died, and who came to life again.
He is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia!
